Completion · Perspective · Adaptation

Solar Arc · Late Summer

Core Function

Light is the perspective that arrives when the outward journey can be seen as a whole.

You planned, acted and kept going. Now the path looks nothing like the straight line you imagined at Seed. Luck mattered. Other people mattered. Things happened that nobody could have anticipated. Light does not explain this away. It lets you see the pattern without pretending you were in control of it.

The Wheel is the ups and downs: sometimes the right person in the right place, sometimes every skill applied at exactly the wrong moment. That is not a verdict on your worth. It is the act of living.

Natural Pattern

Late summer brings the outward arc to completion. Summer has included success and failure, ripening and damage, eating and being eaten. In the fuller light, the season can be seen together rather than divided into the parts that went to plan and the parts that did not.

Mirror Pair

Light and End are both phase-ten cards. Light sees the pattern while still in the theatre of the world. End turns the same recognition inward: you are not watching the world from outside; you are part of it.

The Wheel's figures study the cycle. In the World, the central figure has become the whole scene. One learns from the pattern; the other comes home to it.

Read End

Progression

Light reaches Justice (∞ · 1/0), the still point between the two arcs. Justice is not another seasonal stage. Motion stops for an instant and consequence is fully present: most choices have already been made, and all you can do is adjust your balance.

Then the direction reverses. Harvest begins phase one again, moving inward and receiving what the outward journey has produced.

When It Gets Stuck

Light gets stuck when accepting uncertainty becomes fatalism. “What will be will be” turns into an excuse to stop preparing, responding or noticing your own part in events. The Wheel cannot be controlled, but you can still learn, adapt and meet Justice without pretending your actions meant nothing.

Where are you calling something fate to avoid your part in it?
